How our society sees moms

When Miley Cyrus doesn't shave, she's liberated. When moms don't shave, they're pitied.

When models get pixie cuts, they're edgy. When moms get pixie cuts, it's called "mom hair."

When fashion bloggers wear mom jeans, they're hip. When moms wear mom jeans, they're laughed at.

When millennials go to therapists, they're lauded for getting in touch with themselves. When moms go to therapists, their kids must be driving them crazy.

When celebrities have their hair and nails done, they're revered for being fabulous. When moms have their hair and nails done, they're accused of putting themselves before their children.

When anyone shares a sexual fantasy, they're liberated. When moms share sexual fantasies, they're closeted whores.

When a philanthropist adopts three kids from different countries, they're heroes. When a mom has three biological kids, she's irresponsible.

When twenty-somethings go out for drinks with friends, they're normal. When moms go out for drinks with friends, they're immoral.

When friends lunch, they're doing something culturally relevant. When moms lunch, they're trying to be relevant again.

When an IT guy works from home, that's the new norm. When moms work from home, they're regretting having kids.
