Smathers Beach
I think rocky, moody beaches are more beautiful than sandy, sunny ones. And there's this miniscule wild spot on the beach near our house where I always insist we set up. Needless to say, it's my favorite. Since I literally do absolutely nothing but sit as still as possible when we go to the beach (I don't like sand, water, sun, swimming, or anything else you can think of that's associated with the beach), I decided to do an experiment. For about 45 minutes I set the timer on my phone to go off every 5 minutes, and when it did I took a picture of this little beach segment, trying to keep the focus the same in each shot. Just to give me something to do. To give me purpose, since the book I took sucks and my kids didn't need me anyway (at least not until snack time, which is when the project came to an end.)
I don't have any conclusions drawn out from this experiment. I just like being a voyeur. You could call me a creeper. My husband does. (Disclaimer: the kids in the photos are mine. I wouldn't have taken photos of anyone else's kids, not even in the name of art.) I do wish the wedding that was being set up for in the second to last photo had come together more quickly so I could've made my own photo album of that. But the two men setting up the pillars and what not were terribly inept at it. I almost felt as though my pregnant ass should have gotten up to help them. I'd be amazed to hear if the wedding even went on as planned.
How opportunistically artful of you! Love JJ's cheeks in that shot! *heart melt*
ReplyDeleteI was actually way more proud of myself for thinking of this than I've let on :)
